|Jesse & Ginger, Trent & Teresa and Marilyn & I went to a movie today. Bob wasn’t feeling well so he & Janet stayed home.
Marilyn & I had walked down the street to invite Henry & Pam, twice, but they were not out the first time and we thought they might not be awake yet, so we went back later and that time they were gone. Bummer!
The six of us drove over to the theater, which was very nice with stadium seating and really good popcorn.
The last time I went to a movie was in Texas and we saw “Avatar” in 3-D, while we were spending the winter at Llano Grande.
I was really hungry for some of that theater popcorn today, so I splurged and bought the big tub. Marilyn helped me eat it and we managed to make it all disappear.
The movie we watched was “Flight” with Denzel Washington.
The movie was well made but I did notice a few things which were not accurate. Maybe they enhanced the movie but Pilots will notice those things.
I won’t tell you what those nitpick items were because you might want to go see the movie yourself.
I must give you a “heads up” that the movie has drug and alcohol abuse, nudity and smoking, so it is not a movie for kids.
It was 4:00 in the afternoon by the time we made it back to the RV.
We were in time to catch most of the last half of the Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore football game.
Marilyn fixed some leftovers for our dinner this evening.
We then settled down with more TV for the evening. One of our ‘hate to miss” shows is “The Amazing Race” and that is on tonight, so we’ll watch that from the comfort of our recliners.
Man this retirement is tough!
No doubt about it though, Life is Good!
