We took an early morning boat ride to see the macaws eat the clay cliffs, but we didn’t get a good look since we were so far away. Prior to that we got the boat stuck on some rocks and a few of us had to pull the boat out. When we returned, we ate breakfast, saw some howler monkeys in the trees, then I rested in the hammock for a while. We met up with everyone after that to present our proposals; our project is the “size, frequency, and distribution of black caiman among different habitats.” After that, we saw a lot of lizards and butterflies around the lodge. We went for a hike and saw more monkeys, some more bullet ants, some bird called a white rumped something-or-other (they walk in groups, I only partially saw them), and tons of leaf cutter ants! We got back and had some time to kill so we all showered (there’s was a tarantula in the bathroom by the way!), then we all got together and drank on the beach. We ate dinner and then called it a night.
