Juice, popcycles, popcorn

After a not too bad overnight bus ride (included dinner with wine and breakfast) from Mendoza to Tucuman (almost a 12 hour ride), we awoke to greener mountains, and dipped into a farming valley. Truly beautiful sight. It is not as dry in Tucuman, but is still wine country. After checking into our hotel and cleaning up (was a long night!), we headed out to the main plaza-Plaza de Independencia. Pretty, with a gigantic tree (see photo), a government building, the Catedral (and several other large churches within eyesight). We passed and went into several sporting goods stores, people-watched, checked into McDonalds, and visited a museum about the history of Tucuman.

Tomorrow we hike! Yea! After two days of relatively little activity, and way too much food, we (at least I) need exercise.
