Vern & Mary's Excellent RV Adventure travel blog

We filled up at the Flying J truck stop before leaving, we paid 4.03 for diesel that is .43 a gallon less than we paid last April. Mary drove the first 130 miles today west on I 70 to Spearfish, SD then north on hwy 35 to Buffalo, SD. I drove the remainder of the way into Regent ND where we checked into the Enchanted Highway RV Park, we met and chatted with Gary Geff the creator of the Enchanted Highway metal sculptures. Today's drive was through rolling hills and prairie with large farms and cattle ranches. As we crossed into North Dakota we started seeing a lot of new oil wells that are part of the new Bakken oils fields. An indicator that we aren't in Texas anymore is that when you hit search on the radio you are hard pressed to find a Spanish radio station. I think the wind has been blowing at least 20MPH since we left Texas and today has been no exception.
