Into Bunbury to have a look at the black and white chequered lighthouse, a walk up to the lookout and a drive along the beaches. It was windy and overcast so not the most pleasant day. In the centre of town is a Big Swamp Reserve which has lovely walking paths, spots for picnics and birdwatching. We then drove on down through Boyunup to Donnybrook - right in the heart of the apple, pear, olive, citrus farms. Lovely drive along the sides of farms, little streams and rolling hills. We had lunch at Donnybrook while the boys played on the largest free playground in Australia. A great initiative of this pretty little town. A short drive then through Lowden, Mumballup to Collie. This was a very scenic drive with farms on one side, large trees and forests on the other with ferns and wildflowers. The drive was up and down through the hills before we arrived at quite a vibrant town of Collie. We decided to go straight to the caravan park as the weather was unfriendly - the forecast for tomorrow is better.
