An Easy Day
Oct 12, 2012
|Marilyn & I were worn out last night. After the little ones started home with their Mom, Marilyn & I picked up a sandwich and headed home to watch the VP debate.
We settled down in our recliners just as the candidates were introduced.
I could hardly believe what we saw but will not use my blog as a forum on politics.
I had a lot of opinion to express but controlled myself and will move on to other subjects.
I’ll sure be glad when the election is over though.
After a good night of sleep we spent some of our coffee time looking at a map of the USA and talking about places we want to see.
After cleaning the RV we drove to Walmart to pick up some groceries, including some stuff for Gumbo. When we returned to the RV I busied myself with chicken, andouille sausage, and the fixing’s for Gumbo.
It was mighty tasty!
We relaxed much of the afternoon and then showered and dressed for dinner at the Garth Mansion, with John & Julie.
We always look forward to spending time with these good folks.
Tomorrow will be a busy day for us, but a fun one.
Marilyn is going shopping with Jennifer.
Before they leave, I am planning to take my girls out for breakfast. That will give me some visiting time with my daughter and my lovely bride.
Then, while the ladies are out having fun, I will return to the Cave Complex and lead tours for much of the day.
I may as well be working while the gals are enjoying their shopping spree.
With that in mind, I will make this entry pretty short and get it posted before we leave this evening.
Our time here grows shorter each day and we’ll be on our way to Arizona before we know it.
Still a few chores to get done before we leave so now we continue to hope for good weather so we can get ready for the road.
Life is Good!
