Since most attractions in the River Market were closed on Sunday, we were expecting a "down" day. No way! We spent the morning at the Central High Historical site, famous for the Little Rock 9 de-segregation case of 1957. What a historic and emotional time for the Nine and the community, not to mention the country. The architecture of the Little Rock Central HS is amazing. Then on to the Arkansas Capitol Building and sculptures. The capitol building was modeled after the capitol in DC. Many sculptures commemorating the confederacy, something you don't see on the west coast. Had a traditional catfish and hush puppy meal. I think they can deep fry anything! The afternoon was spent at the Clinton Library. We opted to read the exhibits rather than using a headset. LOTS TO READ! We could have spent a week there, tons of info.
