Fall Cross Country Rv travel blog

The last three days were mostly just driving. Left Canyon De Chelly and went to Window Rock, capitol of the Navajo Nation. Stopped at Window Rock and the Native American Veterans memorial. Very well done in a very pretty park. Onto Casamero Pueblo, a Chacoan outlier where we saw the largest, grasshoppers ever. Probably 4-5 inches long and massive! Found our way to Enchanted Trails rv Park (Passport America) Albuquerque, NM,(Wed nite), then to Amarillo Ranch RV where they honored Passport America)Amarillo, TX,(Thursday nite), Oklahoma City, OK on Tinker AFB (Friday nite), and tonight we are in Little Rock, AR for the next 2 days. Once again using Passport America. It was fascinating to watch the change in landscape / scenery over the 4 days. From high desert, to open grass lands as far as the eye can see, to greenery and occasional stunted trees, to undulating grass and greenery with regular size trees. This evening, we are in an RV park on the banks of the Arkansas River across from downtown Little Rock. There is a re-purposed railroad bridge into a pedestrian bridge over the river from our park to the William Clinton Presidential Library on the other end of the bridge. About a 15 - 20 minute walk over the river. So tomorrow is a sort of "down"day. Going to visit the library and anything else Little Rock has to offer. With minimum driving. We are already over 2000 miles into the trip and we are just getting started. ;) Hope that you enjoy the posting.
