Edinburgh was all that was promised - Festive, busy but most of all fun.

Because I had only booked Edinburgh a week before, accommodation was limited to two nights. After my trip from Mallaig, I got into Edinburgh late and just went to bed.

The next day was full of action. I started with a trip to Rosslyn Chapel - of Da Vinci fame but beautiful in it's own right. Originaly commenced in 1446 it is ornately carved from sandstone. Unfortunately you can't take photo's inside the chapel but the ones below indicate the quality of the work especially considering that it has been out in the weather for 600 years.

Then I went to the Edinburgh Military Tatoo - AWESOME!!!

It celebrated the Queen's corination and also the discovery of Australia.

Great night out.
