Joshua & Karissa waiting at the airport for our flight to Jackson...

Meeting up with the Klingers at Colter Bay, nice cabin!

Sunset swim in Jackson Lake!

Bear climbing a tree, with a ranger trying to get it back...

We were all up early and ready, when the driver arrived at 5:45 to take us to Logan for our flight back to Wyoming. Joshua and Karissa settled in for the first leg of our trip to Chicago. We were a little late do to bad weather around Detroit, but that just shorten our layover in Chicago, where the kids gained their first hour of extra vacation time. The next flight was just as uneventful, until we started to descend into Jackson Hole and those magnificent Tetons were as high up as our plane. We landed, added another hour to the kids vacation, collected the luggage and headed off to pick up Shelby, who was happy to see us all. Then off to Colter Bay to meet up with our friends, the Klingers, who had arrived in Jackson Hole the previous day. After a nice visit, we headed off to try some buffalo steak at one of the Colter Bay restaurants. Joshua, George, Roland and Lisa all tried the buffalo and all agreed it was delicious! The kids wanted to swim, so we headed off to Jackson Lake for a sunset swim, which was a little too chilly for some of us! As we started back to the camper, a bear was spotted heading to the camper too! It was amazing how quickly the park rangers were there to guide it back into the forest, but not before we got a couple good pictures. It was cool to see the bear climb a tree, as the rangers blew their whistles. A pretty exciting day for everyone, buffalo steak and a bear sighting too.
