Just when I think I've seen it all here in Lanciano, I discover more interesting ancient buildings, and fountains. It still amazes me that things build not just hundreds of years ago, but a thousand years ago are still standing, and here, even functioning as a part of the city.

I few things I have noticed that Americans should think about when traveling to Italy or Europe. Try to blend in. Don't wear white sneakers, fanny packs, or baseball caps. Men here don't use backpacks, but what is called a "man bag". Looks almost like a ladies purse with shoulder strap, bigger, but not as big as a briefcase. I have not seen a single fanny pack here in Lanciano. That means I haven't seen any American tourists.
