Our RV park in Grants Pass

The hillbilly

Today we awoke still uncertain of our trip to California. We checked the weather reports and nothing had changed....hot, hot hot. Fred got some feedback from fellow RVers on the mountain climbs which will reach 4,300 feet. The RV resort we are planning on going to in California is probably the nicest one on our itinerary so we made a final decision to forge ahead with our plans and will head out early tomorrow morning when the weather is cooler.

With that behind us, we left the comfort of our RV and took a sightseeing tour of Grants Pass. It's a small town with really only one major downtown street. There were several antique and gift stores which we visited. We didn't buy anything but were very tempted by some funny signs like "Due to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished".

Best laugh of the day was in the Wal-Mart parking lot. See the picture of the hillbilly with the half trailer, half junkyard. Fred wanted to take another picture of it, but the owner had taken out a lawn chair and seated himself on the pavement right beside his "vehicle".
