We started today promptly at 830 and headed up the trail led by our hike leader, Oliver. It was quite a bit uphill once again...about 740 meters or 2200 ft. We hiked until noon before reaching Mama's refuge..here we enjoyed magnificent scenery of the alps..all of us started to sing "the hills are alive with the sound of music" just like Maria in the sound of music. We even took photos of ourselves posing on the very green hillside with the mountains in the background..too awesome to describe in words. We hiked 9 miles again today with esteep climbing and descents. We hiked a good 6.5 hrs..what a workout. At mama's refuge we ate the most delicious billiberry tart..the best tart so far. yum...I have decided that these hikes are mostly D to E level according the ASCHG.org rating scale..they are quite challenging indeed. After our hike we enjoyed the hot tub, happy hour with Russ, Larry, Lorna, and kumbaiya...then off to another great dinner and then a DVD of when Oliver went to the top of Mt Blanc..over 15,3oo ft..wow.

will add pics later and send this message later..like tomorrow. it is too late right now to compress my pics..

great hearing from all of you..
