Buffalo or is it bison roaming the range

Magnificant view after a very steep mountain climb

Not much snow on these Tetons!

Taking Shelby for a walk along Jackson Lake.

Enjoying an evening at our campsite in Colter Bay.

Another beautiful morning in the wild west! We had an early start today and traveled through three states, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Of course, these are the three states that border the Yellowstone National Park. In Montana, we drove by some pretty impressive ranches that have to be owned by some multimillionaires. On one of those ranches we saw a very large herd of bison roaming the range. In Idaho, we saw the gorgeous Snake River once again and climbed a very steep mountain range and caught some breathtaking views. In Wyoming, we entered the wild town of Jackson. This had the most western feel that we've felt during this whole trip. We made our way out to The Grand Tetons National Park and was rewarded with views of those magnificent Tetons. Colter Bay RV Park was our destination today and we arrived around 3:30. This will be our longest stay so far, 6 days. We're afraid we'll get a little restless, so we're going to fly east for the weekend. We are camping in the forest near Jackson Lake, which is a short walk away, however, they did warn us that there has been two sightings of an adolescent grizzly. Does the fact that it's adolescent make it less harmful?
