Dirt from Top of the World Road and over 13,000 miles

That was a new tire when we left...which we thankfully did not...

Hey Guys We're HOME!

We made it back up the road and the Cougar is parked in it's "guest room" site. Which is amazing considering that the driveway's rutted out in front of where it sits. It's not fully cleaned out (it took a couple of days to pack and we've only added stuff) so it'll probably take a couple of days to empty. We've put over 13,072 miles on the truck and have hours of pictures and memories. Thank you God, for such a safe journey!

Thanks to, to all of you for your interest and support along the way. We're having a bit of a let down that this wonderful adventure is over but thankfully Kelly, Phil, MacKenna and Brendan ( the Co Springs contingent) are coming in late tomorrow for a week. That'll rally us for a while anyway.

This is almost the last entry for this journal. I do plan on doing an Ah-Hah's page (what were our Ah-Hah's over the past 2 1/2 months). You are welcome to read these but they're mainly a wrap up for us, since we'll put this journal into book form. I don't know exactly when I'll do this wrap up but it will be in the next couple of weeks if you're interested.

For Joe and I it really was the Trip of a Lifetime...we went as far north as we ever anticipate driving and certainly as far as any one road trip will take us. Colden has been a real trooper throughout but he does seem happy to walk up the hill and run and roll on his own turf.

Thanks again for all your support and interest.

Love to you all,

Joe, Colden and Ingrid

PS the location line wouldn't accept Keene, NY but it knew where Lake Placid was...hence the LP reference point
