The morning dawns beautifully in a place like Leakey, Texas, and as we visit April, MIchael and Keith, I recall our years here in the Hill Country of Texas. We have made dear friends and grown close to brothers and sisters in the Lord's church here in Concan. We have special memories of our grandson as he was immersed in the Frio River in baptism. Our friends, Jim and Linda Bennett, have an ideal setting for baptism and on July 8 , Keith thoughtfully and prayerfully made his decision to follow Jesus and His example. While a "cloud of witnesses" watched from above, and more on the banks of the Frio, Michael took Keith's confession of faith baptized him. His first words were, "I feel different."
Today we remember the sacrifice our Lord made as we partake the Lord's Supper with our Concan family and Keith for the first time together. In the next few days, Dale and I will make our way to Bastrop/Buescher State Park to work as park hosts for the month of August. We will have days off and able to visit family and places near the area. So we say goodbye to our friends face to face but with today's technology, we stay in touch. We are only a text, email or phone call away from each of you..... for now.
