Linda shares her day at Cheyenne Wy, Rodeo

This was my first experience at a rodeo... except going to 8 seconds in downtown Orlando years ago.... The mechanical bull there was funny..

We got our tickets and headed off... the locals had the traffic flow great... park and ride.. the best way to go.. When Ron picked up our tickets at all call, he was told we bought the package, which included parking (oh well park and ride was good) and a lunch to go with our admission... ok lunch... we were excited, so we walked around all the booths, got us a free sasuage on a stick from our friends from the cooking channel... bought a few tee shirts and headed for our seats.. Pat, Barb and Ron got their Free hamburger. Kinda ucky... not even a micky d's... and the hot dog was about the same.. what do you expect for free..

We found our seats, row A.... wow first ones. Along came the introductions... with all the pretty girls on horseback... It was amazing the beautiful horses, the skill to ride the way they did...

Then came the bucking broncos... wow off and off and off the cowboys went... finally a couple rode the limit and qualified for the finalls on Sunday... And then came the bulls, big bulls... oh my goodness, I do not know how some of those cowboys kept from getting hurt... We loved it...we cheered and yelled, mostly me... and then I met my friend from the USAF... he was selling beers in the stands... He keep me going and I really started enjoying the rodeo...

The BEST part of the rodeo was the last event.... horse riding.. there were teams of 5 and they had to chase the wild horse down, saddle him, and one had to ride him around the arena... the were dragging teams of men all over... some of the teams lost sight of the horse and rider.... it was funny, but finally one team won.... I had never seen anything like that...

Well I can say we loved the rodeo... and I am hoping we will make plans to return to Cheyenne Wy. next year...
