Just Relax travel blog

6/14 Sorry that this is out of order. After Whitehall, we went up this long - about an hour, creek to this lovely town. We could not tie up to the pier because the town was flooded & they have not set out their docking system. But, Mr. Daniels who lives just a few feet from a waterfall that is about 75' high, let us tie up at his place. What nice people we continue to meet. The strong current from the waterfall was a little scary for us at first, but we did ok after a while. Toured the town, and wish we could stay here for quite a while. However, off the Burlington we went. There are now about 5 sites underwater here on the lake that are historic sites & they are marked with yellow bouys. They even found Benedict Arnold's sunking ship. He really was a hero for the US. Weathere finally getting better. Inverter went out on refridge, but thanks to Lee Harris's advice, John rigged up a $70 inverter from Advance Auto, & we are back in business. Boat now has only 3 repairs that are needed, so that meets our target of keeping needed repairs down to 3 or less. Posting some pictures today.

What an amazing place. we made Burlington, & are here for two nights, renting a car & touring the sights. This town is beautiful. Saw VT Teddy Bear company, Ben & Jerry's factory, Von Trapp place where they lived after escaping the Nazi's. Tomorrow off for Canada via the Chambly canal. We will be east of Montreal in a couple of days in Sorel, then to Montreal via the scary (for us) St. Lawrence Seaway with its 6 knot currents we are told. N44.28.45, W73.13.31
