Fri., July 13th – Today was the “must see-must do” trip along the Icefield Parkway. The highlight of the day was taking the Icefield Explorer tour right onto the Columbia Icefield which feeds the Athabaska glacier. I took an empty water bottle up and filled it with the coldest and purest water found on the planet! This was a very unique experience and one not to missed if you ever come this way.

We traveled on to Jasper, the least impressive of the many resort towns we’ve visited. I guess setting up at Whistler Campground in a swarm of millions of mosquitoes had some influence on our attitude about the area. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a quiet evening drive out to Maligne Lake and decided to make this a one night stop before heading over to Edmonton tomorrow.
