| Visited Jackson MS that morning. Just let us walk around in the Capitol. That was great! Toured Governor's mansion, Old State Capitol and War Memorial. Then checked out and drove over to Vicksburg at the Magnolia RV Park. Great and friendly place! Went and toured Vicksburg Battlefield that afternoon. It was another sad place. Another 100,000 Americans fighting each other 15,000 deaths. It would have been worse, but South surrendered before final assault on next day, July 4th 149 years ago where we stood. |
