Kingma Summer 2012 RV trip down east travel blog

Today we woke up to find that the clouds and rain had moved on. We were looking forward to a day at the beach with Phil and Chantel's family as well as our own. The weather was perfect. It was not too hot and a breeze kept everybody from overheating.

We had a big waffle and panini breakfast then changed, sunscreened and organized our 8 kids to hit the beach.

We all piled in to the RV and off we went. It was a beautiful 25 minute drive to the beach. PEI is gorgeous! I will post pictures tomorrow once we get home and I can pick up my newly fixed laptop.

We booked a spot the night before at the Cabot provincial park so that we could plug the RV in and have water. There was also bathrooms, an activity centre and a park close to our spot.

The beach was a short 5 minute walk away. The kids loved the water and had no troubles going in. The beach this time was darker than the white Cavendish beaches (as we are told) but lighter red than the Linkletter beach we went to first.

The kids and daddies made wonderful sand castles in a great spot a bit furthur up the beach.

We left after a few hours as cloud coverage meant kids were a bit cold. We had a snack in the RV and hung out for a bit before heading for home again.

What a great day with many blessings.
