Travels with Clark and Reba travel blog

Miles had to be covered on June 23, as we drove from Ashdown, AR, to Hurst, TX. It was the 14th birthday of our #3 grandson and we wanted to get there in order to join the celebration. The long day's drive meant we were on Interstate30 for most of the drive, so we covered the distance fairly quickly. We got to Hurst early afternoon. Had a great dinner with the family and then had scrumptious blueberry pie that our daughter-in-law makes for all of the boys' birthdays.

Triple digit temperatures hit while we were there, so it was hot. Clark went swimming with the grandsons a few times and I read a lot. I did join our daughter-in-law for her walk one morning and she gave me a good workout. We got some shopping done and that's the extent of our time in Hurst.
