June 29, 2012. Friday - I slepted in until almost 1 PM. Elvie called me about 3 and asked me to bring the truck to Home Depot to pick up some material she was buying. So it was late by time I got started on the insulation.
Before long, night had creeped up on me.... and my car was at Storage Ville. So I ended up putting the passenger seat in the camper in the recline position, covered up with a blanket and tried to fall asleep.
The Winnipeg Police helicopter [Air 1] kept flying overhead... making sleep impossible. At one point, I watched the helicopter out of the window on the driver's side of the camper for about twenty minutes. They had their search light operating and appeared to be looking for someone... police sirens were whaling all around. Finally around 3:30 AM things quieted down in the skies, and on the ground, and I was able to drift off to sleep.
June 30, 2012. Saturday - I continued with the insulation of the driver's wall. Around 2 PM Elvira drove me to pick up my car that I had left in the Store Ville compound. About 8 PM I had to go to Rona to get another bag of insulation. One of the associates from the building section came into the camper tank to have a look at my work. He advised me I was using the wrong insulation to insulate my walls with. I was using an insulation made to put in a interior wall to make it fire proof and sound proof, like in a basement wall. This insulation has no R value to it once so ever.... and was no good for my purpose. So I bought the proper stuff!
July 1, 2012. Canada Day! My morning started by removing the pieces of insulation from the first bag, and replacing it with the proper insulation. This apparently only has an R 14 value to it, not as good as I was told the first time.... I spent most of the day working on the insulation. Elvira had to be at work by 7:15 PM so I went home then too. I was going to attend the Canada Day celebrations going on at Assiniboine Park but was too tired. So I just watched the fire works from my apartment window. Living on the 5th floor does have some advantages.
July 2, 2012. Monday - Another day of cutting and fitting insulation between the metal studs. I completely finished the driver's side about 6 PM. Elvira was sleeping in order to go to work tonight. So I just went home, had a bite to eat and sat and watched a quite evening of TV.
