At 3:00 p.m. we pulled into the Tallahassee RV Park, just off I 10. There was a lot of traffic on I 75 going both ways but we moved along just fine.
We are enjoying our new Honda Accord. Our other Honda had 180,000 miles on it and was towed another 30,000. We are happy to have new wheels for this trip.
The main news for this first day is the heat. We came north but the temperature went up 10 degrees. It just doesn't seem right.
Our farthest destination on this trip is Colorado Springs. We are keeping up with the news about the fires in the West and will change our itinerary if we need to. As for now, we are relaxing with two air conditioners doing their job.
We drove 330 miles today and will do about the same tomorrow. Our destination tomorrow is Gulf Port, Mississippi.
One other bit of news - We sold our sailboat. We left it with a dealer in Boston last September and finally it sold. After owning 4 sailboats over 35 years, we have retired from sailing. Sailing was a big part of our lives but it was time to call it quits.
I hope you are staying cool where you are.
