This morning Karen had to deliver her cake to a home in Hutto (a suburb northeast of Austin). She put it together at the hostess’ house. After visiting a few minutes, she took me home. After lunch I read my newspapers and then took a nap.
In today’s paper I just happened to notice the obituary of my first supervisor, Bill Crumley. After I had received my degree from Texas Tech, he hired me as a secretary-technician in the Textile Research Department at Tech. I worked there for about a year and a half while my husband finished his degree. Bill was one of the best supervisors I have ever had. He later became a Methodist minister and pastored several churches. I was interested to read that he had established an RV park mission ministry near Medina before retiring. I wish I had known that sooner.
