Half Moon Bay Marina

After we sent Holleh and Nicole off we left the next day. We cruised about 36 miles up the Hudson River to a small village in NY called Croton On Hudson. It appears to be a bedroom community with commuter trains whizzing past our marina on a pretty regular schedule. The Half Moon Bay Marina came highly recommended by the reviews of America's Great Loop Association. However, it falls mighty short of the reputation it boasts. We are not going to move though. Maggie has already set up an Orthopedic Dr. appt. and Camden has been set up for her weekly bath, something Maggie cannot do for a while. We have arranged a rental car and are planning some necessary shopping excursions. It's right before a major summer holiday - July 4th - so we don't feel it would be wise to leave and HOPE we could get a slip somewhere else.

This is where we'll stay for two weeks to further rest Maggie's hand and get some doctor advice.

GOLLY IS IT EVER HOT HERE!!! It's cooler in Longboat Key right now. We're giving our air conditioner a workout. OK, we'll stop complaining. We are fortunate to be on this wonderful summer trip.
