| Venice is beautiful, but we didn't get to enjoy it fully because when we got there, the boats were on strike. And our hostel was on an island. So to find a boat that would take us to our island, we had to weave through.Venice for an hour and a half with our heavy backpacks and almost 100° heat to get to the place with the boats. We were not happy campers. So we finally got to the island of our hostel, and we ended up meeting people from all over the world. The day after we got there, we decided that we needed a break, so we went to a different island and went to the beach. It was beautiful and Sarah stuck out like a sore thumb, because everyone there was black, and Sarah most deff isn't. The day after that we went and explored the main island of Venice. All of the canals and little side streets were so cute. The day we were leaving we were supposed to get up at 5:50. To catch our train at 7:50...we didn't wake up until 7. :( we almost made our train. We were 1 min late, and we watched our train leave. So we sat at the train station for 3 hrs until we could get on the next train. We finally arrived in Nice and its a beautiful little city. On our first day there, we went to the beach. Except all the beaches in neice are straight up rocks. But the water was nice. When we got back to our hostel, we were supposed to have free wifi, but it hadn't been working the entire time we had been there. So Sarah went up to the desk and politely asked the lady if she knew what was wrong,and all she kept saying that it was working for her,so there must be something wrong with mine AND crystals devices. This guy overhead and came up and said it wasn't working for him either and that they should just unplug it and plug it back in. The woman then said that she wouldn't speak to Sarah because she was yelling... Cystal can back Sarah up that she was in fact not yelling, and the woman threatened to kick us out...over the Internet. And mind you Sarah did not say one cuss word, and was not being hostile. So that's why we hate France. Now we are in Barcelona, and it is such a fun town from what we've seen. We just got back to our hostel, made ourselves some pasta,and Crystal cut up a whole clove of garlic into it...yummmm yay for bad breath ;) and we're going to head back out when it gets a little cooler. on Saturday we are off to Lisbon Portugal That's all for now -Sarah and Crystal |
