The middle of June we went to a rally with our RVing group in Columbus, IN. Columbus is a very interesting city. Known for its beautiful modernist architecture. Several very famous architects have buildings in Columbus, including the architect that designed the St. Louis arch. Also Columbus has the Cummins diesel engine factory. Needless to say Jim was very excited about taking the factory tour. We have a Cummins engine in our RV. It was a wonderful tour. Also to the west of Columbus was Nashville, IN. It’s a fun little town with lots of shops and restaurants. Again we had such a fun time with our group. Lots of “eat, drink and be merry”!
Today, I’m setting in the Jellystone RV park in Lawrence, KS. Our grandson, Nathan has a Cub Scout overnight camp out tonight. He asked Papa (Jim) go along with him. Of course Papa said yes. Now realize, Jim nor our son were Boy Scouts. And today the heat index is supposed to be 102! So think Papa should earn a special badge for going along! I’m sitting here in our air conditioned RV. I did kind of work up a sweat this morning cleaning!
We will take Nathan home with us on Tuesday until Friday. Since we will be leaving on our trip up north on July 1 and Nathan’s birthday is July 7, we plan on doing some celebrating on the St. Louis side of the state with Aunt Jen.
Speaking of our trip up north. We are planning one of our biggest RVing adventures so far. We will be meeting our friends Charlie and Echo in Ohio, heading up into Canada, east to New Brunswick, New Foundland, Maine and end up in New York City the week of September 9 - 16. We are very excited. As long as we have wifi, I’ll try to keep the blog going.
God Bless and take care!
