On the way to Cape Leveque.

Walking on the beach
| We drove to Cape Leveque on a a red dirt road. Dad hated the drive. The road was sandy and bumpy and it took three hours. Our hut was opposite the beach. The water was warm but there were lots of rocks. There is a big croc at Hunters creek. The signs said not to go there. We collected shells when the tide went out really early every morning. We ate at the restaurant and had a campfire every night. I loved the campfires because we had marshmallows and toasted them. We drove to other places and had a drink and cake at Cygnet Bay. We played I spy in the car on the way home. I always won because I chose really small things. Joe had to stop and go to the toilet. |
