Keil Summer Vacation ~ 2012 travel blog

Next stop...NC Keil's!

Had our traditional meal at Mike's Farm! Yummy!

Here's Bella! Teeny Tiny Bella!

Good evening all! We left DC this morning around 9am and had a pretty uneventful 6 hour drive to NC, and believe me THAT'S a good thing!! We sang, played trivia games and Road Bingo (thanks to Jeff) and whatever else we could do to pass the time. We started keeping track of the odd road names we came across while travelling south on I-95. Here is a list of the really good ones:

Falmouth (sounds like Foulmouth), Backlit Road, Frying Pan Road ( Remember, I can't make this shit up), Dumfries, Powhite Parkway (personal favorite after what we paid for our bearing problems), Spotsylvania, Dinwiddie, Seymour Johnson (Todd's personal fav) and Nottoway River. I find these names fascinating and clever and some just down right dumb! But alas, I wasn't burdened with the pressure of having to be the one to name roads!! Oh well!

After arriving at the Keil's and setting up, we went out for our traditional meal at Mike's Farm and boy was it good. Still full from it!! Tomorrow we will hang out and visit and who knows what else. Sunday we start to head home and back to reality!!
