We drove to the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. The museum is housed in the original Allan Herschell Company Factory Building in North Tonawanda and has been celebrating the history of carousel and band organ (Wurlitzer Band Organs) for 28 years. Besides having carousel animals exhibited, their is a Kiddie Land exhibit which has a miniature carousel and other rides. They also have vintage Wurlitzer Band Organ used on their carousels, a Style 125 circa 1917 and a Style 146 circa 1925. They also have hundreds of hand punched paper tapes used in these and other Wurlitzer Band Organs. We ate lunch at Pane's a local favorite, Frank Sinatra ate at the restaurant when he was in the Niagara Falls area. When we got home, Houston rolled around in the grass.
