The Wanderings Of Emrys travel blog

Miles City, MT.

54 deg. partly cloudy, no wind.

Forecast = Partly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm and a chance of rain in the morning, then mostly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm and a chance of rain. High of 81F. Winds from the SE at 5 to 10 mph shifting to the ENE in the afternoon. Chance of rain 40%.

I'm having a real problem with Blogger so I'm posting here for now.

We're still in Miles City because of the wind yesterday. It was in the 30 to 40 mph range and the forecasts were saying that it was even stronger in ND where our next stop will be.

Not a whole lot happening here. Too windy to be out and about much. Jim is going to call the CG in Dickinson, ND to make sure they have a site available for tonight. I sure hope they do, cause I don't know where else we would be able to go, except up to US 2 in Williston, ND.

The problem with the Campgrounds in this area is that with the "Oil Boom" in ND most of the parks are filled with oil workers. I understand some parks are holding back a few sites for travelers though.

Well, I'd better get going. Need to get ready to wander some more. : )

Did you know that on this date in 1752 - Benjamin Franklin experimented by flying a kite during a thunderstorm? The result was a little spark that showed the relationship between lightning and electricity.
