RV's at Rally

The 2012 North American Heartland Owners Rally opened with free coffee at 7:00 AM. From 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, there were scheduled seminars & presentations for anyone to pick & choose. There was also a Leisure Time Activities schedule, basically for women. After preparing a dish for the Pot Luck dinner, we headed over to the auditorium for the 6:00 dinner. The club supplied the chicken & drinks. The amount of hot dishes, salads & desserts was incredible. Even if you didn't like chicken, you weren't leaving hungry. Once the speakers had finished, it was time for the Newlywed Game for RV'ers. I wanted to volunteer, but Ed wasn't as enthusiastic. After a few laughs, we came back to the RV & I went for a walk & Ed went to a horse show on the same CAM-PLEX grounds. (It's almost 10:00 here before it's completely dark.) Local kids take part in a weekly show of all kinds of classes (pole bending, goat tieing, barrel racing). There were a lot of horses, nothing fancy, but the kids were having a great time. Around here, everybody must have a horse or two. It was 75 degrees with no wind. I take back what I said yesterday.

Info: 133 units attended the rally (69 Bighorns, 26 Landmark, & the rest were various models). People were represented from the West to East coasts.
