Another Day in the Life
Jun 6, 2012
|We were ready for a walk this morning, so after finishing the coffee, we were off.
The skies were clear, with a crisp 54 degree temperature and bright sunshine, which made it perfect for walking in the sunshine.
When we were in the shade it was a bit chilly, at least in the beginning.
I walked a bit over a mile and ½ but Marilyn continued until she had over 3 and ¼ miles. Kudos to her!
We cleaned up the RV and then took off headed into town. Marilyn & I each had a watch which needed repair.
We left Marilyn’s watch to have a new crown installed and have the watch cleaned, etc.
My watch simply needed the band repaired and that was done for no charge while we waited.
Our next stop was at the Good Will store and then we were off to have the truck fuelled at a cost of $3.819 per gallon.
Both of us stopped in at “Great Clips” for a haircut before walking down the sidewalk to the “China Wok” for a fine lunch of Mongolian Beef with Hot & Sour soup, Rice, Crab Rangoon or Egg Rolls.
It was a good thing to eat before going shopping at the Safeway. We got away without spending too much money, and headed back to the resort.
It always feels good to get back home!
Marilyn read her book from the comfort of her lounge chair outdoors while I read for awhile, then dozed off in my recliner inside the RV.
We managed to speak with Jennifer and both of the Grandkids a couple of times while we were out and had cell-phone reception.
No service here behind the mountain at the resort!
It was another fine day here at Mountaindale, and we can say again, Life is Good!
