Roadtrek Travels travel blog

Up at 7:00 (early for us now!) to take Pepper for another walk. Roby had an appointment. By the time we got back, Todd, Rita and Cullen were up[. Our assignment from Roby was to make breakfast but they were so full from the night before that there were no takers.

We chatted until about 10:00 when Roby came home. Todd and Cullen are also distributors of a product called protandim which is a phytonutrient that signals the body’s genes to produce anti-oxidizing enzymes that destroy free radicals that cause disease, contributes to the aging process etc. Interesting and will do some further research.

Roby, Bob and I drove into Dallas. The boys were having lunch with Jerry Farrington, former CEO of TXU, ( who we met in Sonoma) at the Dallas Country Club and I was having a facial at Stanley Korshak where Theresa works. Because the trainer for a special “high end” skin peel was in the store, I got the treatment. Really was a quite simple treatment that felt like water being applied. My skin did look much better. Theresa applied make up and I was set. Stanley Korshak is a very expensive store with men’s shirts on sale for $500, suits for $10,000, purses for $5,000. Needless to say, I just looked! It was great fun to people watch in the store. Theresa seems to know everyone. Theresa and I had lunch and the boys met us.

Roby, Bob and I then went to look at Roby’s new 2,300 square foot condo that he is in the process of “fixing up” . Roby always does an amazing job so I am sure it will be spectacular when it is done. The only improvement he has done so far is to push out the walls to eliminate the balcony. This adds another 200 square feet.

Came home to get ready for the Mexican dinner Coco, Roby’s housekeeper of 36 years, is making for us. Thersa’s daughter Debbie and granddaughter Ava are coming along with Roby’s grandchildren (Roby, Garrett and Ian) and daughter-in-law Michelle. Roby Jr. is in Austin.

We just had a major thunder/lightening/rain storm. Roby swears that the kids will be swimming in the sunshine in an hour!
