Phil and Patty Rudick

Patty's Cioppino

Sunset on the Ranch

Again it is overcast and we took a nice bike ride on the greenbelt. We are going to the Roadtrek service which is only 20 miles from camp and somewhat on the way to Dripping Springs. I had work to do but Bob met with the Roadtrek service fellow who could not have been more helpful. He fixed cabinets and registered all of the warranty issues (waste tube, floor heater, back screen etc.) we have had in the Roadtrek system.

Weather remained overcast as we drove route 46 to 281 which will be a less congested than interstate 35 into Austin. Pulled off into a new country club to have lunch in the rain. Cleared up quickly and we arrived in Dripping Springs around 3:30. Went to the Visitor Center which was quaint and learned about all of the local olive oils, cheeses and jams. Sounds like some good visits,

Arrived at Phil and Patty Rudick’s ranch which is a lovely 28 acre vista. Phil and Bob went to high school in Pittsburgh but we have not seen them since they were in Sonoma 3 years ago. They have horses and 3 dogs. Fortunately, Pepper and the dogs are getting along. The ranch is beautiful. Patty made wonderful appetizers, salad from their garden, cioppino, and a mixed berry cobbler.

We sat on the porch to watch the sun set. How nice is that! This is the life!!
