Nixon Travel's May-June 2012 travel blog

It was really cold last night-mid 20's. From our campground we walked Nixon up to the Historic Jacob Lake Ranger Station. It's historic because it was the first in the area-okay. Left around 10:00 headed to Hatch, UT for three or so days. We drove up the Kaibab Plateau yesterday, so what goes up must come down. Had a stretch of 6% plus down incline with curvy turns. The landscape was a lot of sagebrush. When we got into Utah, the farms were using irrigation in their fields. We stopped by a tourist traps at Moqui Cave, but they were advertising Dinosaur Tracks. So I stopped to get pictures for Grayce. It was only around 90 miles today and we are staying at Mountain Ridge RV Park. It is sitting in a valley with red rock on mountain side. When we got set up, we did some needed house cleaning and laundry. Headed to Zion National Park tomorrow. Until next time.
