Eating well

more beach

A strange weather day today, as it changed back and forth between full sun and full cloud. Vicki spent the day changing between Bikinis and jumper! Still, no rain and although a bit cool and windy on the beach, it was very nice around the pool. We also spent some time walking around the town.

For dinner we decided to return to the same place we went last night, the food had been so good and the people so friendly. As soon as we arrived, we were met at the door by Clementine with kisses all round. We sat inside tonight because it was a bit cooler and a couple of free glasses of the cherry flavoured wine were soon delivered to our table. Dad also came out to say hello.

We thought we would try their pizza, we had seen them yesterday and they looked delicious - they were also huge!. I also wanted to try their deserts which I had also seen last night, so I asked clemintine if we could share a pizza to leave room for desert. Strangely her english seemed to desert her and she said just a moment I need to ask Dad the English word. Soon she was back and she asked me to go to the kitchen to see Dad.

When I went to see him, he explained that the people on the next table had also asked to share a pizza and they had told them no. For us however it was no problem, as long as we waited for them to go. No problem I say, and I turn around and Mum has a couple of glasses of Rose wine for us - this could be a long night.

When the pizza was delivered it was delicious, my half of pizza was like a whole one at home. We both also had a delicious desert and a coffee. I was just thinking of leaving when Clementine comes and asks me if I like lemon flavour. Yes I say tentatively and she soon returns with a glass of Limoncello, which is an Italian lemon liqueur. I had tried it once before in Italy, but this was a full glass. It was very good.

After this we walked slowly home, strangely the weather didn't seem so cool now.
