Happy second birthday to Natalie Bond!
We're in Grand Junction, Colorado. There is no wind, no dust, no grit. There are, however, many streets with half names: like D 1/2 Street, A 1/2 Street, etc. Why? Who knows!
The sun is shining, and the temperature tonight is going down to 45. You just cannot have it all, I guess.
Things we did not do in Grand Junction:
Visit the Museum of Western Colorado and take the Dinosaur Journey.
Visit the Colorado National Monument.
Visit the National Dinosaur Monument.
Go horseback riding.
Visit any wineries (there are 18!)
Float down the Colorado River on a raft.
Visit the Western Colorado Center for the Arts or the Museum of the West.
Tour the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.
So, you are probably wondering, what did we do?
We took showers and washed all the grit off our bodies.
We cleaned a lot of the grit out of the trailer.
We shopped for supplies (finally found a Walmart's)
We lay about the trailer in hippie-like fashion.
We tried to talk with RB and the girls on Skype (internet connection too slow!); we did talk with them on the cell phone.
We barbecued chicken and had a nice dinner.
Big news: We will be home on June 4 no matter what!
