South America, UK & Ireland 2012 travel blog

Peru, Loved it, hated it, wished I had never gone their but at the same time so glad I had gone their.. quite an emotional ridercoaster.

From rising upto the top of the giant tittie on the way to Machu Pichu, to sinking to one of lifes great lows of nearly pooing ones pants, Peru had it all!

To start off with, Lima was quite an eye opener, my second night their one of the local guys attempted to serrenade me with an evening meal & an offer one could only refuse (i'll let you all use your imagination for that one!), to trying to gain entry to a few museums in the historic centre only to be quickly rejected (I think & I hope it was their siesta time). Things only got better upon meeting the lovely people on my group (as has been the case on all the tours I have been on!). From visiting Cusco & the fantastic Inca ruins which can only be done justice by you all visiting them yourselves, through to the most easy of easy 4 days of my life breezing my way across the Inca trail (ok, ok... you can get up now from rolling on the floor in a fit of laughter... the truth of the matter was that the Inca trail was one of the hardest things I have ever done, & I congratulate, appreciate & forever indebted to all those porters, cooks & guides as well as tireless co-hikers who joined me & assisted me to complete the hike). To all of those who questioned whether I would have been able to complete the hike with absolutley no preperation.. Ha, I did it!!! :p...

Anyhow, the other side of things, I did also go into the Amazon jungle, battling jungle beasts & things... there was just one little tinny little problem... the shits! Grrr.... Anyhow, as I said Peru was a country of craziness... I even managed to go a little bit crazy with the help of the younger members of the tour group... sorry everybody else, I hope I havn't scared you all :p. A few select photos will be posted soon, I'm currently taking it easy at Miami Airport after security essentially strip searched me after a few cold beers @ TGI Fridays! all ready to get into London on the next stage of my adventure!

Adios people!
