Pool side

Beach at 8pm

Headed to Chatelaillon Plage, another beach place. Plage means beach in french. When we arrived just after midday it was a beautiful day with the temperature above 30 degrees. Checked into our hotel which is just one street from the seafront and headed straight to the beach - to find the tide was out and it was about 500m to the water! Still quite a few people on the beach, but not many making the walk out to the water. Instead we cooled down under one of the showers on the beach, caught some sun for a while, and then headed back to the hotel which has a pool. Yah! Had the pool to ourselves and spent the afternoon here.

Headed back to the beach at about 7:00pm when the tide was in and the beach was crowded. Finally got to go in the sea, but of course no waves, just a few ripples. Still good though.

After a shower, went to look for something to eat and ended up in an Italian restaurant. Treated like royalty here, one of the girls spoke English, turns out she had been to New Zealand, and she brought out out a free welcome drink. Later the owner, her dad, came out to meet us and we had a talk about rugby. The meals were excellent and we were glad we had to walk home so could work some of it off.
