Mountain View

Started today with laundry. I got it all done by 11:00am and we were off to Yellowstone. We left Idaho, entered Montana and then shortly after entering the park we were in Wyoming, three states within 45 minutes. The intent was to find the Canyon Store and our RV site. The store is about 50 from the West Entrance. We found the place for orientation tomorrow morning. Met 2 other workampers from Georgia. The worked here in 2010, last year they worked Bar Harbor Maine. They are back and will be working just up the road from us. We then drove into the park. We met the store manager. She is very nice as were all the others that we met. We said we would start working on the week-end if needed - yes we must be crazy. We had lunch at the fountain where we will work for the next 2 weeks. They are desperate for our help. We then went over and picked out our camp site for the summer. Jay picked 22. We will move in tomorrow afternoon. Then we headed back to camp to get things ready for the move tomorrow as we need to be in town between 8 - 9 am. We plan to leave here at 8am. We had 1-2 bars on our phones so we might be out of touch except for text messages. We will see how it goes. It was about 38 degrees in the park. When we drove up about noon there were herds of bison in a couple different places and we saw some elk in the distance. When we drove back the bison had taken over the road. We needed to wait for them to cross and get off the road. Saw many babies in the 2 different groups. Going to pack up the RV so we are ready to go early.
