Crossroads Rally in Texas and Rocks in Moab travel blog

Today we packed up some water and Heidi and headed south to Palo Duro Canyon. Palo Duro is a Texas state park and in very nice. We entered the park and just after ten and spent a couple of hours driving the 16 mile road, round trip, in the canon. We made a number of stops for picture taking and looking at the red canyon walls. They say this is the Grand Canyon of Texas. Just after turning around we noticed two deer crossing the road. We stopped and watched for a few minutes. After we took a couple of pictures we were on the roll again. Since we had Heidi we could not get out and walk. We exited the canyon and took our time getting back stopping for lunch before returning to the RV park. Tonight we will take it easy as we want to get an early start in the morning for Albuquerque.

Since the internet here is slow sometimes I will post pictures of Palo Duro Canyon tomorrow with the posting about our trip on the next leg.
