Crossroads Rally in Texas and Rocks in Moab travel blog

Today we went out to see Cadillic Ranch that is located just out of Amarillo. We stopped by the local walmart for a couple cans of paint to tag the cars. Once arriving at the site we saw a dozen or so people at the cars. Now for the history of the art project. In 1974 they planted 10 cadillics in the ground nose first at the angle of the Great Pyramids. The field is a working cattle ranch so we had to enter through a small gate so the cows could not escape. As we got closer to the cars one man waking back to the road said "well that is one off the bucket list". We spent about an hour paining John's name on the cars in different locations and just enjoyed looking at all the art work. After our time there we headed back into town for a little antique shopping. Then it was time to head back to the trailer to get some rest for the big dinner we will have at the Big Texan.
