Hit the tube this morning in peak hour.....not much fun being squashed like sardines but we made it back to where we left off the bus last night and rejoined the open bus tour which unfortunately got held up in a traffic jam so we bailed and caught the ferry up the river to try and catch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. We made it, just, but because we where late we were at the back of the crowd so couldn't see a lot but the guards marched right past us so that was cool.

From there we walked up to Hyde Park where we had lunch and Lachlan had fun chasing the squirrels. He had been saying he was going to touch one and we all kept telling him how quick they were so he wouldn't be disappointed but being the determine little bugger he is, he not only touch one but two. Have to admit they were very tame and a guy gave him couple of peanuts to feed them. After lunch we walked through the park to the Princess Diana memorial which at first sight was very plain but after standing there a while it was very peaceful and quite lovely.

Next stop, Harrods. Not overly impressed I must say but one of those things we can say we have seen.

Next stop, tube and home as Kym had a table booked at Hestons for dinner as a surprise for Simon's birthday and we were babysitting.

Early to bed, after a disastrous dinner. Thank goodness the shops are open late at night and hot chickens are

Readily available.
