To all my family and friends: Thursday after I went to my neurologist, I was told to stop immediately all my migraine abortive meds and my pain meds. This was a little scary until he laid out their plan called the "Migranal Burst". It is a combination of 5 different meds taken at different times of the day for 3 days. This is to stop the cycle of headaches and hopefully give me different medicine if and when they come back. I definitely was into rebound headaches which is not good. I'm into the evening of the 3rd day, and doing well, feel pretty loopy and only had one very small headache. I see an anesthesiologist Wed. for a possible nerve block, then back to my neurologist May 31st. So, we will be up here at least until then. If things regress, then I may be admitted into the hospital. We're just thankful we are in a great park, with nice owners. The weather was hot today, but will be cooler tomorrow. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. FYI-I did ask my doctor if I would have been hospitalized if I had not been on medicare and on a private medical insurance plan, hesitantly, he said yes, and the medicines would have been given intravenously, and covered by my secondary insurance. Everyone, keep in touch, and hope you are having fun as summer approaches. I'll keep everyone informed. Today we went to a Methodist Church in Grass Lake, a picture in their hallway dates the church back to the 1800's. The minister graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville. What a small world.
