| It was an early start today with us having to be on the road by 7am. Met up with the rest of the party and all boarded the coach for Dover. Saw the white cliffs as we pulled away on the Ferry. Another awesome sight. Arrive in Dover, boarded the coach again and went in searching of cheese & wine for the evening part of the celebrations. After doing our shopping we had a picnic on the beach before heading back to the port and boarding the ferry for thrill back to Dover. Back in the UK had enough time to change and head down to the barge for the evening. It was lovely to meet Claire's friends before the wedding. Fell into bed about midnight after what was a very long but enjoyable day. While we were on the Hen's Day, the boys all went to Dover as well but to see the Castle and go through the war tunnels. By all accounts they all had a very enjoyable day. |
