Northeast Nevada along I15

Casa Blanca Casino Water Feature

Arizona between Nevada and Utah

Chuck stopped before we left this morning to pick up the fresh grapefruit I had brought for him and forgot to take to his house and a bottle of wine. We said our good byes and we were on the road about 10am. We followed I-15 Northeast. Just before we hit AZ we stopped in Mesquite, NV to have lunch at the Casa Blanca Casino Resort. We went into the casino and looked for the $7.99 lunch buffet. Must have been one of the other casinos because this one didn't open until 2pm. Well, I couldn't leave without playing at least a little bit. SO we played a few machines, Jay won $20, I lost $9 and we ate leftover BBQ for lunch. We continued along I15 through Arizona and into Utah. There was a lot of ups and downs through the big hills and it is really hard to distinguish between the states when you are looking out the window. We continued on to Red Ledge RV Park in Kanarraville, UT. We will be here until Monday morning. The solar eclipse will be seen tomorrow between 6pm and 8 pm. Hope to get a few pictures. The RV park has 22 parking spots and the place is packed. We are near Zion National Park, so we might go there tomorrow. Lots of people here and lots of 4-wheelers up and down the road. We are definitely out of the heat. Tomorrow at noon is the hockey game and we can't watch it. It is on NBC local station, which we can't get on our DIRECTV. We will have to listen on XM, unless I can find it on the Internet. We have free WIFI here, which I didn't have in Vegas. Tonight I am listening to the NASCAR All-Star race on XM. Might get used to no TV. We will see what tomorrow brings.
