Today was a leisurely day we ate breakfast at the little restaurant at the Oasis RV Resort. Then we went over to our friends Sue and Chuck Mowat's house. There we sat around visiting for a few hours catching up on all the things that had happened since they were at our house in December. Sue had a delicious lunch of Omaha Steaks hot dogs and potato salad, macaroni salad all the fixings and my favorite cookies white chocolate macadamia nut for desert. Then we went to Mt. Charles maybe 20 miles away. Elevation went up to 8,000+ ft. We watched the temp drop from 89 degrees to 59 as we ascended. The view and company was wonderful. We returned to Chuck and Sue's house for margaritas and then we had dinner at a restaurant called North 40. We ordered the feats for 4 and it was a feast to be sure. BBQ ribs, chicken, pulled pork, salad, onion rings, french fries and of course corn muffins. We all pigged out and each of us had enough leftover for the next meal. We made our way back to the RV by 9:30 pm after having just what we needed a relaxing day. Jay's back is improving as he is not lifting and moving things from here to there. We had originally planned to stay in Vegas 3 nights, but could only stay 2 nights. Sorry we missed Pam and David on this trip, but happy we just saw them in Phoenix. For those wondering, Jay's doctor said he was good to go to Yellowstone and will see him Sept 28 when we will be back in AZ.
