When we left Fort St. John, the weather was overcast and chilly. The snow started shortly thereafter and didn’t stop all day. It didn’t really stick to the road and where it did, the snow plows were right on it. We didn’t see much scenery today, just white. We did see a coyote and a caribou next to the road. (Not in the same place.) We thought about stopping early but decided to plow on (pun intended). We drove just under 300 miles and we are currently hunkered down in Fort Nelson. There is still an occasional very light snow flurry but it’s really cold for me. It’s about freezing out right now. We stopped at a store called Trapper’s Den. They have fun fur hats and gloves and moccasins and mukluks and carved antlers. They lady in there told us we came up too soon. When it’s 106 at home, it’s hard to know. We are watching the Coyotes hockey game on TV right now. Can’t watch them at home but Canada loves hockey! Too bad they lost.
